NPLQ -National Pool Lifeguard Qualification & First Aid at Work
The NPLQ is a nationally recognised qualification, in accordance with the RLSS training syllabus, helping pool operators meet their legal obligations. This course also includes a full Level 3 First Aid at Work in accordance with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Course Outline
5 day course that covers both theory and practical training in the following areas:
- Section 1: The Lifeguard, Swimming Pool & Supervision
- Section 2: Intervention, Rescue & Emergency Action Plan
- CPR, AED & First Aid
This course also includes the Level 3 First Aid at Work Qualification.
All Courses
Level 3 (RQF) First Aid at Work – 3 day course
A full First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Level 3 (RQF) First Aid at Work – 2 day Requalification course
A two day requalification course for those who have a valid First Aid at Work certificate but are reaching the end of their qualification period.
Level 3 (RQF) Emergency First Aid at Work – 1 day course
A course that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, for lower risk businesses/establishments.
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and First Aid At Work course
A full National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course, in accordance with the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) training syllabus.
National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches
A nationally recognised qualification, in accordance with the RLSS and ASA training syllabus, suitable for swimming teachers.
Annual Refresher Training courses
The HSE strongly recommend an annual half day refresher course for anyone with a First Aid qualification, designed to update and refresh your skills.
Level 3 (QCF) Paediatric First Aid – 12 hour course
12 hour course suitable for Child Minders, Nursery and School staff which meets the requirements of Ofsted.
Child and Baby Emergency Aid
Half or 1 day course
A basic child and baby emergency aid course for parents who want to know what to do in an emergency situation.
Level 2 (QCF) CPR & AED- 1 day course
A 6 hour course that covers all of the skills recommended by the Resuscitation Council UK for those who have a de-fib (AED) at their place of work.
